Kent vs. the Killer Bees, Micheal Wesch "The Explainer" and A Wee Acorn Amongst the Giant Oaks

I was just thinking that I have this video in another location, but it will be  easier to find in its own separate post.  What a great couple of learning days at the Heartland elearning conference.  Actually I have been on a a week and a half roll.  First the League for Innovation at the Community College, then the Oklahoma Association of Community Colleges and Finally the Heartland eLearning Conference.  During Micheal Wesch’s Tuesday Breakout session he pounded out  the video below  using Sony Vegas. I am in awe of how fast and how creative this guy  is. I have not been very good at editing video over the years so this gives me one of my “Wee Acorn amongst the Giant Oak” feelings.  Hopefully I’ll get the chance to learn more and improve my skills in this area.

Micheal Wesch is the “Elvis” of Educational video with his most famous work below.

It was a pleasure to have the opportunity to learn and interact with him during the Heartland meeting.  I probably learned more about copyright during 10 minutes of his workshop than from sitting in a dozen sessions over the past dozen years.  There is a good reason Wired Magazine calls him “The Explainer“.
